Scope:
We require an experienced Contract Administrator to be based at the Kearl Oil Sands Project Site on a rotational basis. You must be capable of administering a multi-million dollar portfolio of site wide service contracts. Rotation pattern subject to agreement
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understanding project team needs and working with site team
- Working with and supervising the construction management contractor (CMT) contracts administration team
- Developing and executing administrative processes which ensure contract compliance and reduce claims
- Managing CMT contractor's subcontracting activities such as analyzing subcontractor's bids / proposals, and advising appropriate contracting strategy for site services contract
- Analyzing CMT contractor's subcontractor contract changes and making recommendations to IOL project team
- Managing closeout activities
- Ensuring procedural compliance
- Coordinating all contract actions with site project management team and corporate office
- Maintaining working relationship with contractors, clients and subcontractors team
Desired Qualifications:
- 5 - 10 years CA work (administration - not contract development / formation)
- Oil and Gas contract administration
- Some experience of working for Client organization
- Success in working with contract changes and claims
- Self-starter, works on own initiative, doesn't require constant supervision
- Good team worker in a project environment, but also has confidence in own ability and knowledge
- Good working knowledge of general contracting principles and good business controls
- Work in a high pressure environment with short time schedules but able to meet demands of project
- Flexibility on working hours to meet job needs
- Able to travel to Site as required by rotation pattern
